Working with Microsoft and cloud technologies such as Office365 and Azure. Often creating my own projects to keep me busy and grow my skill set. When I'm not working on my own projects I can be found rock climbing or hiking in the mountains of Snowdonia national park.
After being in MSP and system administrator roles I was offered the opportunity to move into penetration testing with Capgemini. With a big interest in cybersecurity, this was an easy choice for me. I now work with Capgemini's CTAS team to offer penetration testing to customers finding and removing weaknesses in IT systems to protect customers.
After being in my senior support role for 8 months I had the opportunity to move into a new and developing team within Risc ITs technical department. This team was focused around creating a managed service offering (MSP) for Risc customers. This involved creating the general outline and processes for the department, being responsible for customer documentation and standard operating procedures, managing customer infrastructure and reviewing and completing any change requests.
After being at Risc IT Solutions for over 2 years I moved into a senior role, alongside general help desk duties I also dealt with escalations from other engineers when required.
My role as Technical Support Engineer involves working within the technical support team to provide support to resellers and customers across a range of IT solutions. My responsibilities include making and receiving general help desk calls and investigating customer issues while documenting everything in a case management system. I also provided support to internal staff with hardware, software, and services.
During my time at this company, I have gained experience in server management and networking. I have had several promotions which has enabled me to take on the responsibilities of staff management, account management, general customer support and generally aiding the day to day running of a successful business.
Apex Hosting is an American owned company that was founded in 2013 to deliver the highest level of service and support to its clients. I was taken on by Apex to provide support to customers and troubleshoot any technical problems they had, working within the technical support department I would respond to customer issues via ticket or live chat software to resolve any technical issues.
Craft-List is a website I started back in 2015 with some friends. The main aim was to create a place for people to share their Minecraft servers. We set out to make Craft-List not only a site to advertise servers, but to review them and for owners to keep dedicated pages for all information about their servers, such as change logs and statistics on players. Apart from being an active tech enthusiast, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors. Im an avid climber taking any opportunity I can to climb indoors or out. I also enjoy hiking up the mountains of Snowdonia.
When forced indoors, I can be found watching movies or YouTube. I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technology advancements and working on personal projects.
